Biblical Preaching
The Bible is the sole authority for all we preach at GBCR.
We are thoroughly committed to the careful handling and faithful teaching of Scripture. We tend to preach through books of the Bible or sections within a book of the Bible.
We believe that Biblical Preaching begins with understanding Scripture as it was given in its original context.
We also believe that once a clear understanding of Scripture is obtained, the biblical text must be applied to the lives of the people to whom we preach.
Though every passage of Scripture has at least one topic/subject that we highlight in the sermon, we like to use the description: “Expository Preaching,” because it’s a kind of preaching whose goal is to “expose” and apply the truth(s) of a biblical passage to the lives of those listening to the sermon.
