Tim Atkins

The grandson of a Methodist minister, Tim is married to Angela whom he met whilst studying at the Evangelical Theological College of Wales. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading and preaching the Word. He also likes language study and cycling.

At 16 years old, I felt challenged to read more of the Bible stories I had been taught in Sunday School. As I read, I became strongly impressed with the Lord’s love and forgiveness toward me. In tears, I repented and devoted my life to following Him.

I joined a small Evangelical fellowship in my home village, where I began preaching. This continued during university and I eventually took up Theological training at the Evangelical Theological College of Wales.

Here I met my wife Angela. Graduating in 1993, I took a post as Assistant Pastor at Rugby Evangelical Free Church from where I moved to become Pastor of Southern Cross Evangelical Church.

In 1999 the Lord brought me back to Rugby, where I eventually became instrumental in the formation of Grace Bible Church Rugby. As an elder, I continue to enjoy preaching and shepherding God’s people.
